About Robiotech
The Robiotech Corporation is a small, multifaceted and dedicated technology and design firm that thrives at the intersection of innovation, engineering and accessibility. We take an interdisciplinary approach to design and creation. Our goal is to provide purposeful and meaningful design, 3D printing and prototyping projects to fulfill the bourgeoning needs of humanity and organizations to enhance accessibility, sustainability and encourage Universal Design practices. Our unique relationships with our partners will guide how we develop, design and prototype individual projects.
The Robiotech Corporation was created as an offshoot of its parent company, Jordan Research and Development, LLC, which is an, "out-of-the-box" firm whose mission is to develop and create innovative new products and technologies to enhance all facets of the humanity. The mission of the Robiotech Corporation is to help individuals and organizations research and develop new ideas and innovations to serve their specific needs. There are many individuals and organization that develop new ideas and have no idea where to turn for help. The Robiotech Corporation will be that place, in which to turn.
Prosthetics/Exo-skeletal Devices
The Robiotech Corporation designs and creates prosthetics and exo-skeletal devices for those who have suffered digit amputations, birth defects, and/or limited movement. Robiotech offers these services for little or no money for customers who, otherwise, are not able to afford such devices. In order to serve those in need, The Robiotech Corporation has become a 501(c)(3) (not-for-profit) and relies heavily on grants and donations.
Located in Hollywood, Maryland, The Robiotech Corporation was born from its parent company, Jordan Research and Development, which was founded in 2005.
Robiotech's Board of Directors
Founder/President: Brian Jordan, has been developing products for over thirty years. A graduate of Virginia Military Institute with a degree in physics and mathematics. He also, served as a U.S. Naval Officer and aviator, at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. While there, he was an Operational Test Director, Test Analyst, and Engineer for various aircraft platforms and programs. As a digital amputee he has taken a personal interest in seeing as many people helped as possible.
Vice President/Outreach Director: Megan Taylor graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a degree in psychology, and is working toward a Masters Degree in social work from Salisbury University. Megan, a U.S. Army veteran, has worked for several not-for-profit organizations. Her writing, networking, and leadership skills make her welcomed addition to the Robiotech team.
Secretary/Lead Engineer: Ryan Lash graduated from The Purdue University with a degree in aerospace engineering. Ryan has vast amount of experience with prototyping and product development. From military aircraft to kitchen appliances, Ryan's ability to create and eye for detail will help the Robiotech Corporation create high quality products for those we serve.
Treasurer: Donna Jordan, graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in Chemistry. Donna worked for the U.S. Government as a chemist on various programs. After her time with the Government, Donna has run several successful businesses. Her business acumen and willingness to serve others makes her a key memeber of the Robiotech team.
